Institutional Review –Design Thesis Project

The design development review of the thesis project for Batch- 13 was organised on four days from Sunday, April 10th through Wednesday, April 13th 2016. The objective of the review was to take opinion of external experts and to give constructive suggestions on further course to each student at the mid stage of the Thesis Project. The Jury panel was a mix of subject experts having diverse background from Planning to urban design to Landscape.

Each expert brought a unique perspective of ideas and criticism thatproved beneficial to the students.  Students were offered suggestions on various facets of their design such as Landscaping, Urban Design, Building Structure,and Services& Sciences.

At the end on fourth day Jury gave general advice on how to take Thesis further in the time remaining. Students were encouraged to keep in mind the local and social context of their projects and not to shy away from unconventional forms in their Designs. Selected projects featuring notable progress were put on display to allow students to learn from their peers.
