Art faculty and students exhibits at ‘The Recycled Art’ exhibition

Kalaneri is an art gallery in Jaipur, where artists showcase their creative works, a platform for young artists to grow.

Recently, an exhibition titled “The Recycled Art” was held from 10th August to 16th August where 30 local artists displayed creativity by voicing their thoughts and ideasabout creating a balance between the planet and the world through their inspiring artworks made out of scrap, junk and waste materials. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sh. Ashok Lahoti, Mayor, Jaipur Nagar Nigam. Various paintings, art installations, wall art, murals and many creative hand crafted and hand painted artefactswere displayed.

Students and Faculty from Aayojanalso participated in the event. Professor Sangeeta Singh expressed her concern over the carnage of mother earth through her art installations. In one of her installations, she showed a women like figure in the middle of plants, with her hands springing up holding a cloth that runs down the installation onto the floor, which then extends to the outside path of the gallery along which potswere placed for people to plant trees.

Another interesting art installation was a large spoon made from broken pieces of mirrors filled with plantation.

Through all such works, the artists delivered a message to save and protect our planet earth.
