M.ARCH (ARCHITECTURAL CONSERVATION)

The architectural heritage of Rajasthan is unparalleled. The diversity of our culture and history is reflected in various forms of tangible, intangible and living heritage of the people. It ranges from the forts of Chittorgarh, Kumbhalgarh, to a modest haveli, a humble expression of everyday life. Rajasthan boasts state protection with 227 state protected monuments recognized by ASI and 8 World Heritage sites.
The M Arch in Architectural Heritage Conservation is a very carefully and sensitively designed programme leading to a 2- years post graduate degree. It is developed on the conservation philosophies, cultural traditions, ancient knowledge systems, craft practices, environmental concerns and sustainable future perspectives that define our approach to heritage and history.
Being in heritage-rich state the education and training will lead to empathetic, sensitive, inclusive, forward looking and hands- on conservation experts in the guidance of domain experts. Aayojan School of Architecture has carried out measured drawing and documentation of more than 100 heritage sites. Heritage is one of the important areas for focus in architecture. Now we wish to further our intentions for post graduate program. One of the key objectives of this course at Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur is to nurture well rounded fully equipped and widely aware heritage professionals. The learning will happen at project sites, lecture rooms, design studios and state of the art conservation laboratories.

 

Masters in Architectural Conservation affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University

Minimum Qualification required:

  • Admission to the Master of Architecture Course shall be open to candidates possessing not less than 50% and 45% in case of Reserve Category in qualifying examinations.
  • The candidates who have passed B.Arch. Examinations (in related branch of architecture) from any recognised University.
  • The equivalency of any degree for admission to any programme will be decided by
    university. If a recognized university has an approved conversation formula of CGPA into percentage then it will be applicable on producing the certificate of conversion from the concerned University.
