AFFILIATIONS, ASSOCIATIONS AND ACCREDITATIONS

ACADEMIC

Aayojan School of Architecture and Design, Pune is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA) and Govt of Maharashtra, and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Admissions are as per rules and procedures laid down by Department of Technical education (DTE), the Admission authority for the Schools of Architecture in the state of Maharashtra. The Institute is currently in the process of applying for NAAC Accreditation.

 

CO – ACADEMIC

Aayojan, Pune is also associated with reputed organizations in the field such as IIA (Indian Institute of Architects – Maharashtra Chapter), AESA (Architects, Engineers and Surveyors Association) and IUDI (Institute of Urban Designers India) Academic workshops and presentations of student and professional work are conducted in association with these organisations. ASAD is also a member of FEED (Forum for exchange and excellence in Design).

ASAD has been actively associated with ARCASIA (Architects Regional Council of Asia), a Council of Presidents (or their representatives) of the various national Institutes of Architects (or professional bodies) in Asia. ASAD successfully conducted a 10 – day workshop on campus titled – ‘Interpreting Built Heritage’ in association with ARCASIA and IIA in which students from various Asian countries participated. The workshop gave the participants a rich experience of our built heritage and methods to interpret the same in the context of the heritage towns of Wai, Menavli, Dhom.

ASAD is proud to be a survey partner for the RESIDE project (Residential Building Energy Demand Reduction in India), a GoI project in association with Oxford – Brooks University, UK which will map the residential energy use across 600 households in Pune City. The data collected will be used to develop energy regulations and an appropriate evaluation system for the country.

ASAD fulfills its role as an active contributor to our country’s society’s progress by
collaborating with NGOs and public service initiatives such as the FSAI (Fire and Security Association of India), the ETHOS FOUNDATION (collaboration for bringing design inclusivity and literacy to all and promoting our traditional wisdom) and the MAHARASHTRA STEPWELLS CAMPAIGN (collaboration for documenting and conducting conservation and research initiatives on stepwells across Maharashtra).
